Ingredients
Martini
- 2 Lebanese Gen V cucumbers, peeled and diced (150 g/ 1/3 lb)
- 3 mint leaves, torn
- 20 ml (2/3 oz) simple syrup (see notes)
- 60 ml (2 oz) vodka30 ml (1 oz) lime juiceIce cream
Cucumber fir
- 2 ribbons (cut with a peeler) and a large slice of Lebanese cucumber Gen V
- Cocktail picker
Preparation
Martini
- In a chilled cocktail shaker, put the diced cucumber, mint, and simple syrup.
- Using a cocktail muddler, crush the ingredients well to blend the flavors.
- Add the vodka, lime juice and ice. Close the shaker and shake vigorously.
- Double-strain the mixture into a martini or cocktail glass.
Cucumber fizz
- Stick two cucumber ribbons into a cocktail skewer to create a small tree. Prick the base of the spade into a large cucumber slice, to create a fir tree base and hold the spade in the glass. Enjoy immediately.
Variations :
Add 15 ml (1/2 oz) of dry white vermouth.
Replace the vodka with gin.
Replace the mint with basil or thyme.
